UAE Federal Tax Authority Joins BRICS Tax Officials Meeting in Moscow

UAE, 07 October, 2024 : The UAE, represented by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), took part in the BRICS tax officials and experts meeting held in Moscow, Russia, from September 24 to 26, 2024. The event brought together tax delegations from BRICS countries to discuss cooperation in tax and financial matters.

Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, led the UAE delegation, highlighting the importance of BRICS as a platform for global economic cooperation. He emphasized that the meeting fostered the exchange of expertise and information among member states, contributing to enhanced tax collaboration.

During the visit, the UAE delegation met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Daniil Yegorov, Director General of Russia's Federal Tax Service, to discuss joint cooperation in tax policies. The sessions covered key topics such as modernizing tax management, data utilization, VAT improvements, and the role of women and youth in tax administration.
