Qatar, 09 October, 2024 : During the ACD Business Forum, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber (QC), met with Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), to discuss enhancing economic and commercial cooperation between Qatar and Nepal.
The meeting, attended by QC board member Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, FNCCI Executive Committee Member Manoj Poudel, and Director General Gokarna Raj Awasthi, focused on investment opportunities in both countries and the role of the private sector in promoting trade.
Participants emphasized the importance of quickly identifying council members for the Qatar-Nepal Joint Business Council, chaired by Sheikh Khalifa and Dhakal, to facilitate business interactions and enhance trade relations. The council aims to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, technology, services, and industry.
Both parties agreed to hold the council’s first extended full board meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, to further solidify ties between businesses from both nations.
